Device Break/Fix Needs: January 4th through 6th
If you are having issues with a device and are in need of repair, below is the information explaining that procedure. We are attempting to fix devices as quickly as possible and cannot give out loaner devices while we work on your device. This also includes charger issues you might be experiencing. I know that the weather and internet connection can sometimes also disrupt connectivity and productivity. If you are unsure if it is a device or internet issue you are experiencing; feel free to email. Please be patient, as our IT department also has to keep district technology operational for our staff.

Please have your child bring their device to school. Students should take their device, with an attached note: (1) describing the problem; (2) and their name and grade level, to the following location

Drop Off of Broken devices
- Times
- Monday thru Wednesday from (8am-12pm)
- Location
- North Lot entrance (Media Center doors) of Independence High School will be device drop off and pick up.
- This is the entrance near the practice soccer fields. There will be a cone on the sidewalk to signify you are in the right place.
- Procedure
- Parents/students will remain in their vehicle. Cone will be placed along the sidewalk to designate drop off location.
- A member of the technology department will come to your vehicle to collect your device and information.
- We will need to know
- What is wrong with the device
- Your student’s name (first/last), grade,
- Phone number to text you when repairs are complete.
- If you are able to write this information on a PostIT note or note card taped to the device it will expedite the process.
- DO NOT bring Carry cases, device bags, or device charger (UNLESS you think the charger might be broken).
- At this time, due to shortages in technology supplies across the nation, we will not be able to give a loaner device when you drop off a device. Our goal is to complete repairs within a short window and return the device quickly.
- Pick Up
- Pickup will be in the same location as drop off.
- You will receive a text message when your device is ready.
